Dr. Roberta Horwitz is a Licensed Doctor of Optometry and has been in practice since 1984. She follows in the footsteps of her father, Dr. David Horwitz, and runs a successful practice in the Point Breeze area of Pittsburgh, PA. Dr. Horwitz received a B.A. degree from the University of Pittsburgh, a B.S. and a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She served on the State Board of Optometry from 2006 to 2011. She is currently a member of the American Optometric Association, the American Optometric Society, the Pennsylvania Optometric Association and the Ocular Nutrition Society.
In addition to her eye practice, Dr. Horwitz is involved in the arts. In 2009 she was recognized by WQED and Dominion as a Volunteer in the Arts (VITA) Award winner. "As an advisory board member for Point Park University's Pittsburgh Playhouse... is an invaluable member of the team...." Specifically, she worked with local school districts to bring over 21,000 inner-city students to see live theatre.
